Small business website design
The first 90 days: a new website, and three months with me after it goes live
From £7,750, with your website build included.
20 years in marketing, 8 years building websites, more than 60 of them, and 48 five-star Google reviews.
Most websites get the most attention they will ever have in the week they go live. After that the designer moves on, the owner goes back to running the business, and the site sits there.
The first 90 days works the other way round. I build your site, and then I stay for three months.
In that time your Google profile is put right, your customers' questions are answered on your pages, your email list is started, and your profile gets a new post every week.
What you get
Your website build, and everything in The first 30 days.
Eight questions your customers are asking, found in your Google Search Console data, which shows you what people are putting into AI to look for a business like yours. Each question and its answer is added to the right page of your site. An AI tool can only recommend a business it can read about.
Email marketing set up in MailerLite: a sign-up form, a lead magnet and a three-email sequence. Visitors who are not ready to buy have a way to stay in touch. The lead magnet is a PDF of up to three pages.
A Google Business Profile post every week for three months. That is 13 posts, written and published for you, so your profile always shows a business that is open and busy.
A before-and-after report at the end, in plain English. You see what moved, what did not, and what I would do next.
How the three months run
The build
Your site is designed, built and goes live.
Month 1
Google profile audit and fixes, listings corrected, tracking set up, weekly posts begin.
Month 2
Email set-up: sign-up form, lead magnet and three-email sequence.
Month 3
Eight questions found in Search Console and answered on the right pages. Weekly posts continue, then the before-and-after report.
Why the eight questions matter
People used to type two or three words into Google. Now they ask a full question, often to ChatGPT or to Google's AI answer, and they get back a short reply that names a few businesses.
An AI tool can only name a business it can read about. If the answer to your customer's question is not on your site, it has nothing of yours to use.
So I go to your Google Search Console data, which shows what people typed into Google before they reached your site, and what they typed into AI looking for a business like yours. I find eight questions in it, and add each question and its answer to the right page of your site.

Your email list, started properly
Plenty of people who visit a website are not ready to buy that day. An email list gives them a way to stay in touch until they are.
- A sign-up form on your site.
- A lead magnet: a PDF of up to three pages that your customers would want to read. I write it from a conversation with you.
- Three emails that go out automatically after someone signs up.
- All set up in MailerLite, in an account that belongs to you.
I did the same for Writers Inc, a writers' retreat in Herefordshire: a new site, with email marketing and an email sales funnel set up alongside it. Read the Writers Inc case study
A post on your Google profile every week
A profile with nothing new on it for two years looks like a business that might have closed.
For three months I write and publish a post every week: your work, your news, your offers. Customers see a business that is open and busy.
The before-and-after report
At the end of the three months I compare where you are with the record I took before we started.
- Views, calls, direction requests and website clicks from your Google profile.
- Clicks and searches from Google Search Console.
- What the AI tools say when asked your eight questions.
The report tells you what moved, what did not, and what I would do next.
What I can and cannot promise
I can promise the work, done properly and on time. I can promise that your site answers the questions your customers ask, in a form Google and the AI tools can read.
I cannot promise that ChatGPT will name you, or that you will reach a particular position on Google. Nobody controls either.
Rankings usually take three to six months to build, so some results will show after the 90 days have ended.
What it costs
The first 90 days is £7,750 for a site of up to six pages, and that price includes your website build.
It is £4,000 for the site and £3,750 for the three months of work after launch. Each extra page is £400.
Your proposal gives the price in writing before you commit. I am not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay.
The care plan at £65 a month applies as it does to every site I build.
MailerLite's own charges are paid by you.

This is for you if
- You know you will not have time to do the follow-up work yourself.
- Your customers are local, or search for you by area.
- You have no email list, or one you never write to.
This is not for you if
- Someone already manages your Google profile and your email marketing. The Launch will suit you better.
- Your business is online only, with no local area. Talk to me first, because the Google profile work will not apply to you.

Questions
Do you write the posts and the emails?
Yes. I write them from what you tell me, and you check the facts before anything goes out.
Do you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend me?
No. Nobody can. I can put the answers on your site in a form the AI tools can read, and show you at the end what they say.
I already use a different email tool. Does it have to be MailerLite?
No, it does not have to be MailerLite. Tell me which tool you use when we talk.
Can I add this after my site is built?
Yes. You can add this after your site has been built.
What happens after the 90 days?
You have a site, a Google profile and an email list that are all set up and running. If you would like me to stay on, my Local SEO service picks up from here. There is no tie-in.
Does the price include the website?
Yes. £7,750 covers your website build, for up to six pages, and the three months of work after launch.
