Website design
Website redesign for small businesses
If your website was built more than three years ago, there’s a good chance it’s working against you. Slow pages and copy that no longer reflects what you do send potential customers straight to a competitor. A redesign fixes that.
Book your call hereThinking about a website redesign for your small business? In short:
- I work with small businesses across the UK, from sole traders to small teams
- An old website can quietly cost you customers, because slow pages and outdated content push people toward competitors
- A proper redesign looks at structure and SEO as well as the visuals, and at how the site performs on every device
- Common warning signs are an outdated look, poor Google visibility and customers struggling to find information
- Wildcurrant Marketing builds sites that are fast and easy for you to manage yourself
- The process starts with a free discovery call, followed by a fixed-price proposal and a build that usually takes four to six weeks. Book your call here
What it involves
What a redesign actually involves
A website redesign is a chance to look at what your current site is doing and what your customers need from it before they pick up the phone or fill in a form.
I work with established small businesses across the UK who know their trade inside out but whose websites haven’t kept pace. We look at your structure and content, your search visibility and how the site performs on every device, and then we build something that does the job properly.
Signs your website needs a redesign
- It looks noticeably older than your competitors’ sites
- It’s hard to update without calling in a developer every time
- You’re not appearing in Google searches for your services
- Customers have mentioned they couldn’t find information they were looking for
- You are also not appearing in any AI overviews or answers
- You’re embarrassed to hand out your web address
Not sure if your site needs a redesign or just a few fixes? My free checklist helps you tell which. Grab it here.

How it works
How the process works
We start with a discovery call, with no obligation. You tell me what’s not working and who your customers are. From there I put together a proposal with a clear scope and a fixed price.
Most small business redesign projects take four to six weeks from sign-off to launch.
Based in Shropshire, working with businesses across the country
I work with small businesses all over the UK, from sole traders to teams of fifteen. If you have an existing website that’s letting you down, I can help.

FAQ
Questions about a website redesign
How long does a website redesign take?
A redesign takes four to six weeks. Larger sites take longer, and the proposal will say so.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the move is handled properly. I map your existing pages, protect the ones already bringing in traffic and redirect the old addresses. Nobody can guarantee a ranking, but nothing that is working gets thrown away.
How much does a small business website redesign cost in the UK?
With me, from £4,000 for a site of up to six pages. Each extra page is £400, so a ten-page site is £5,600. If you would like me to stay on after launch, The first 30 days is from £5,500 and The first 90 days is from £7,750, both with your website build included. You can compare everything on Pricing.
Do I need to write the content?
Not necessarily. I'll give you a guide to writing your own copy, and most people manage it well. If you'd rather use a professional copywriter, I can help you find one. That adds cost and time, so it's worth deciding early.
Can I update the site myself afterwards?
Yes. Every site is built for its owner to edit, and you get a walkthrough at handover. If you'd rather not, the £65 a month care plan includes 15 minutes of small changes each month.
What if AI assistants never mention us?
That needs a different diagnosis, and my AI visibility audit is built for it. If a redesign is the wrong answer, I'll tell you.
Do you work with businesses outside Shropshire?
Yes. My clients are all over the UK, and the work happens over video calls and email.
