My approach to small business website design is straightforward: strategy first, then build for visibility and conversion.
We start with a strategy call so I can properly understand your business, your ideal clients and what success needs to look like for your website.
My process is collaborative and supportive but always led by clear thinking rather than guesswork.
Your website is built with SEO and conversion in mind from the start, not added on as an afterthought.
That means research, clear structure and the right foundations in place so your site can get found and turn visits into enquiries.
I create websites that look professional, feel easy to use and are straightforward for you to manage afterwards.
You will be guided throughout, without being left to work anything out on your own.
Investment
A Bespoke WordPress website with advanced SEO and AI visibility starts from £5,200.
Project fee is one-off; hosting is monthly (required), and management is optional.
What affects the final investment?
Your final quote depends on:
- Whether this is a new website or a replacement (replacements require careful SEO protection, page mapping and redirects)
- Number of pages and complexity
- Content support (copywriting, photography, branding)
- Integrations (booking systems, memberships, CRMs, course platforms)
- The depth of SEO research required (multiple services, locations, competitive markets)
There are no hidden costs. Anything outside the agreed scope is discussed and priced in advance.
How long is the project likely to take?
Between 4 to 6 weeks depending on the size and complexity of the build.
How much time do you need from me?
Once booked into my diary you will receive a link to a Trello board which takes you through, step by step, what I need from you: log in details, images, your website copy etc and I wouldnt expect this to take you more than 5 hours to get together. I also provide a guide to writing your website copy.
Hosting (monthly, required) + optional management
To keep your website secure, backed up and properly supported, all Wildcurrant websites are hosted with me on a monthly plan.
Hosting + management (£65/month) — updates, backups, monitoring, plus 15 minutes of small updates each month
Hosting only (£35/month)
Management is optional. Most clients choose it for peace of mind, but if you prefer to handle updates yourself I’ll tell you exactly what to keep an eye on. See website hosting + management plans

Where helpful, I can bring in trusted collaborators or work with your existing partners on:

The Process
- Discovery call – book HERE
We talk through your business, what you need from your website and whether this service is right for you. - Proposal and booking
You receive a written proposal outlining scope, investment and timescales. Once you’re happy, you sign the proposal, contract and terms of business. - Deposit and onboarding
You pay your 25% non-refundable deposit and we confirm your project start date. I share what I need from you (copy, images, logins, etc. I believe it will take you 4-5 hours to get everything I need together). - Strategy and research
We hold your strategy call, then I complete competitor and keyword research and plan the site map. - Design and build
I create the design and build your site in WordPress, keeping you in the loop and asking for feedback at agreed stages. I email you every Friday to let you know how the build is going and anything I might need from you the following week. - Testing, SEO checks and launch
I test across devices (all websites are responsive), complete on-page SEO, connect GA4 and Search Console, and then launch. - Training and handover
I walk you through how to use your site, make day-to-day edits and understand your data.
